Sam Booth is Director of Energy Storage for Renewable Properties based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco. As Director of Energy Storage, Sam’s responsibilities include supporting the development, financing, and implementation of energy storage projects as well as energy storage strategy, partnerships, and acquisitions. Sam has been in the solar and storage energy industry for over 15 years and joined Renewable Properties in 2024. Prior to joining the team, Sam worked as a Solution Manager for Redaptive where he led commercial solar and storage project development. Before that, he was a Director at REC Solar and Duke Energy where he led energy storage plus microgrids products and technology innovation. Sam started his career in solar at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory where he worked on project development, research, and partnerships. He also helped build energy storage projects at government facilities and in the developing world. Sam earned his MBA from Boston University and has B.S. degrees in both Chemical Engineering and Environmental Engineering from the University of Colorado.
