Omar Tantawy is a Procurement & Logistics Manager for Renewable Properties. As a Procurement & Logistics Manager, Omar’s responsibilities include managing the procurement and logistics of owner supplied material from vendor contract negotiation through manufacturing and shipping in coordination with project construction schedules. Omar has been in the energy industry since 2016 and joined Renewable Properties in 2023. Prior to joining the team Omar worked for GE Gas Power as a Logistics Project Manager where he was responsible for developing the logistics strategy, managing the budget, and working with EPCs to meet project schedules for new unit projects. He later transitioned to be an Inbound Logistics Manager where he managed the flow of material into GE Gas Power’s factories and warehouses in the United States, worked on implementing strategies to reduce or eliminate logistics cost, ensure on time delivery to meet factory and supplier’s schedules via optimal delivery cycles. Omar earned his Bachelor of Science in Economics and MBA from the University at Albany.
