Jeff Chang is a Director of Development for Renewable Properties based in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a Director of Development, Jeff’s responsibilities include leading a team that oversees projects across all phases of development—early, mid, and late stage—advancing them to notice to proceed and handover for execution. He has been in the solar energy industry for 8 years and joined Renewable Properties in 2025. Prior to joining the team Jeff worked as a Director of Development for Urban Grid where he developed utility-scale PPA projects in PJM, MISO, and SERC and led a team of development managers. From 2018 to 2022, he worked for ib vogt GmbH and its American subsidiary, ibV Energy Partners, holding roles in Business Development, Project Development, and Planning & Engineering. Jeff is a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina and earned his Master of Science in Renewable Energy Engineering and Management from the University of Freiburg in 2018 and his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from North Carolina State University.
