Gabe Landes is the Director of Engineering for Renewable Properties. As the Director of Engineering, Gabe’s responsibilities include developing and maintaining internal design standards, assisting with the optimization of designs, and evaluating new technologies. In addition, Gabe works with internal construction, development, and asset management teams as well as third party engineers, material vendors, contractors, and investor stakeholders to deliver guidance and facilitate the flow of technical information. Gabe has been working in the solar energy industry since 2011 and joined Renewable Properties in 2023. Prior to joining the team Gabe worked as a solar consultant and owner’s representative with Cottonwood Energy LLC where he supported solar asset owners in their goal of effectively deploying capital and managing project risk. Prior to his time at Cottonwood, Gabe was the Operations Manager for Borrego Solar’s New York State development and construction activities beginning with the company’s initial entry into that geography until the project pipeline exceeded 100 MW. Gabe then transitioned to become the Manager of the New York City Solar Partnership, a policy and government advisory task force funded by the NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability under the DeBlasio Administration, where he worked to support the growth of the solar energy industry in New York City. Gabe has completed the OSHA 30 Hour course for Construction Safety and Health and earned his master’s degree in industrial design from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Wesleyan University.
