Faris Matin is a Director of Business Development for Renewable Properties based out of the company’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco, California. As a Director Business of Development, Faris’ responsibilities include originating and executing the development of solar projects across the United States. He works with various project partners, utilities, landowners, investors, developers and community stakeholders. Faris has over 14 years of experience in energy and real estate development. He has been in the solar energy industry for over 10 years and joined the Renewable Properties team in 2018. Prior to joining the team, Faris was chief development officer for ImMODO Development where he led the company’s utility scale solar project development efforts throughout the United States. Prior to joining ImMODO Development, Faris was a project development manager at sPower, where he led the development and construction of 175 MWs of large utility scale solar projects in the Antelope Valley of Los Angeles County, CA. Prior to joining sPower, Faris held positions with Borrego Solar and Renewable Energy Trust where he played an integral part in the sale, acquisition, financing and development of commercial solar projects. Faris received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Oregon, with a concentration in Finance. Additionally, he has held a CA Real Estate License and completed coursework in Real Estate Finance, Investments and Development at the University of San Diego School of Business.
