Alejandro Fernandez is the Senior Vice President of Construction for Renewable Properties. As the Senior Vice President of Construction, Alejandro oversees the construction management part of the business nationwide. His responsibilities include contractor and vendor engagement, contract negotiation, and project management to construct projects on time and on budget. Alejandro has been in the solar energy industry since 2007 and joined Renewable Properties in 2020. Prior to joining the team Alejandro worked at Borrego Solar Systems for 7 years holding several leadership positions including Director of Business Operations where he was responsible for strategy development and improvement transformations. Prior to that, Alejandro was Director of Regional Operations where he managed a large a diverse team to develop and construct commercial and small utility projects throughout California. Prior to Borrego, Alejandro worked on both sides of the table for owners and EPC contractors including Enfinity Corp (acquired by SunEdison) and SunPower Corp. Alejandro brings an extensive background in project management and design of complex commercial and large-scale utility projects. Alejandro obtained his NABCEP PV installer certification in 2010 and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He received his bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Visual Arts from Washington University in St Louis.
