Aaron Halimi is the Founder and President of Renewable Properties based out of the company’s headquarters in San Francisco, California. As the President, Aaron’s responsibilities include driving strategy and growth for the organization and project partners. With over a decade of solar project development and institutional real estate experience, he has over 500 MWs of direct development experience across multiple transactions and project sites throughout the U.S. Prior to founding Renewable Properties, Aaron worked as a Senior Vice President of Solar Development for Gardner Capital where he ran the solar division, overseeing all solar development activities, project acquisitions and joint development agreements. Prior to joining Gardner Capital, Aaron was with Borrego Solar Systems, where he led the origination and development efforts of utility solar projects. Prior to his professional time in the solar industry, he worked in the institutional real estate investment arena and developed utility scale solar projects on an entrepreneurial basis. Aaron holds a CA Real Estate Brokers License and is a LEED Accredited Professional. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MBA from the University of San Francisco. He is also a published author with work appearing in the “The Business of Sustainability: Trends, Policies, Practices, and Stories of Success, Vol. I-III” (Prager Press, 2011).
