"Watt's the Deal" isn't intended to be a political vlog, but President Trump just issued some executive orders that may seem concerning for renewable energy developers. Here's why RP's Founder, Aaron Halimi, isn't worried:
1. Renewables control most of the interconnection queue. So if you want cheap, reliable, clean energy-- even if you don't want it clean--it's going to be coming from renewables.
2. While the president doesn't like the IRA, there's a large majority of the Republicans in the House and the Senate that do.
3. Oil prices are right where the oil companies want them today, so they're not incentivized to go and produce a glut of product into the market.

The bottom line is that despite the declared energy emergency, the free market is going to ensure that renewable energy will still become a significant part of the grid over the next four years.
