Renewable Properties is excited to announce the addition of three accomplished renewable energy leaders to our team. The new hires will strengthen RP"s ability to invest and deploy distributed energy resources in local communities across the U.S.
Our new team members include:
Daniel Boitel, Chief Investment Officer
Based in Miami, Fla., Daniel Boitel brings over 12 years of expertise in solar energy and project finance to his new role as Chief Investment Officer. As the CIO, Boitel’s responsibilities include leading the project finance team and overseeing capital raising activities for all renewable energy and EV charging assets. Boitel has been in the solar energy and project finance industries for over 12 years and raised over $2 billion of debt and equity for North American renewable energy projects. Before joining Renewable Properties, he served as the Director of Project Finance for Silicon Ranch, where he led large-scale utility debt and tax equity capital raises and financings across North America. Previously, he headed the distributed generation project finance team at Origis Energy and held positions at MUFG Americas and JPMorgan Chase. Boitel earned his bachelor’s degree in economics from Rutgers University.
Matthew Gasparovich, Director of Asset Management
Matthew Gasparovich has been hired as Renewable Properties’ new Director of Asset Management and will be based in Chicago. His responsibilities will include overseeing the financial and operational performance of the company’s solar and storage project portfolio. With over 13 years of experience in renewables,Gasparovich has held prior leadership roles at Invenergy and Pine Gate Renewables. At Pine Gate Renewables, Gasparovich served as the Senior Director of Asset Management where he managed the commercial performance of the company’s operating fleet of solar and storage projects. Prior to Pine Gate, Gasparovich was the Vice President of Asset Management at Invenergy, where he managed the overall P&L responsibility for Invenergy’s operating fleet of renewable energy projects. Gasparovich earned his Master’s in Energy Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan and a bachelor’s in civil engineering fromLawrence Technological University.
Jenea Smith, Controller
Jenea Smith joins Renewable Properties as Controller and will be based at the company’s San Francisco headquarters. AsController, Smith is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s accounting operations and financial quality review, ensuring a proper internal control structure and timely outside reporting, as well as supporting the company’s strategic planning process and compliance related matters. Smith has been part of the accounting field for years. Prior to joining Renewable Properties, she served as Controller for Brightmark, where she was integral in leading and building the accounting department in a rapid growth start-up environment while developing and implementing policies and procedures across various key functional departments. Before Brightmark, she focused on public accounting, specializing in audit and assurance, as well as tax and business consulting for clients in the construction, wholesale, distribution,manufacturing, agriculture, farming, and various other industries. Jenea is a Certified Public Accountant and earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
